Hi Andrew,Andy and I, along with everyone here at Joining Jack would like to offer you another huge thank you for all of your help and continuous support of the Wigan 10k. We are truly grateful for everything you do for us to make this event possible and for it to continue to grow. Without people like you we wouldn’t be able to get Joining Jack’s name nearly as far and wide. Making people aware of the charity is key for Joining Jack.We have once more, had a brilliant response from yesterday’s race. We thought it was our best yet. Although we didn’t get record numbers, we felt like the atmosphere in the town centre was fantastic, the crowds were excellent and the runners seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. We have already had enquiries regarding registration for next year and even had some entries for the Run Wigan Festival in March following yesterday’s event. Planning for next year’s 10k is already in motion which will take us beyond the 20,000 participants mark… a phenomenal achievement considering where we have come with the charity since 2013 when we began.
We are still doing the sums and working out exactly what we have raised for Joining Jack but we are hoping for another fantastic amount once again. Funds which you know will go directly into research to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. For Jack, finding a cure is more important now than ever before, we need a breakthrough soon and with your help we are so close.
Thank you once again for your support and generosity and your kindness for my family and the JJ team. I would be grateful if you would pass on our thanks to your lovely team too, we saw lots of your green t-shirts throughout the day.
With very best wishes,Yours sincerely,
Alex Johnson
