Historic Wigan home sells
Regan & Hallworth say goodbye to one of Wigan’s most historic homes. The sale has just completed and the buyers have collected the keys from our Wigan office. Haigh Cottage is a beautiful, Georgian country home and one of genuine, historic significance for Wigan & Haigh having been originally built for the Earl of Crawford to live in before Haigh Hall was constructed and finished in 1849. With its own private entrance, impressive sweeping tree lined driveway and visually striking façade, the property creates a truly, magnificent first impression simply oozing splendour on a scale which is almost beyond comparable in the area. In need of modernisation, the buyers intend to restore the house to its original grandeur and will be renovating the old rose gardens, outdoor swimming pool and the games room and gin bar.
